Pride Shoot Info!

Thanks for being a part of my 2022 Pride Shoot!

Here’s all the info you need to know:

First Things First: You are under NO OBLIGATION to show any amount of skin. You can be as conservatively dressed as you want, and you be as un-conservative as you want as well. Odds are we’ll have a mix of comfortability levels, and that makes this kinda thing fun! Someone may be mostly covered, while someone may be completely naked. And if at any point on the day of, you start to feel uncomfortable or need to opt out, that is 100% fine, and there will be exactly zero hard feelings. This is a zero pressure, completely empathetic and understanding environment, where we will all celebrate, respect, and appreciate each other’s bravery and strength. This shoot isn’t just a marketing tool for me. This shoot is about making a statement that all bodies, all genders, all orientations, all experiences are worthy, valid, and deserving of celebration. Now I know this doesn’t need to be said, because you all are wondrous, lovely beings, but any bad behavior, inappropriate actions, or condescending comments will be met with immediate dismissal.

When: June 5th 2022, 4pm - 8pm

Where: Oregon Badlands Wilderness, but meeting in the East Bend Walgreens Parking Lot, at 2727 NE Highway 20, Bend, Oregon, 97701. We’ll then carpool or caravan out to the location.

What to bring: Yourself with your hair and makeup done to whatever level you desire (I’m planning on having someone on site to help with makeup and hair touchups), your 2-3 outfits (see below for mood boards), water, snacks, a blanket you don’t mind putting on the ground, and if you have any picnic supplies (baskets, etc.) bring those along as well! Also, pick up just a small bouquet of flowers, of your favorite type.

Tentative Schedule:

4-5: drive to location, work together to put together scenes, do makeup, organize outfits, etc.
5-6: Individual and Group Shots in outfit 1
6-7: Outfit 2
7-8: Outfit 3 and take down set, organize and pack it all up, and drive back to town!

The Vibe: We’re aiming for a cottage core, fae, midsommar, sunset picnic feel. Flowy, showy, comfy, relaxed, old timey, loosy goosy, and lighthearted. Think the elvish feast Bilbo and the Dwarves keep interrupting in Mirkwood in The Hobbit, but instead of in the forest, it’s in the desert!

The Looks: These are all just suggestions. There’s zero need to go out and buy anything, odds are whatever you have at home will totally work for this! Also, where we’re shooting, we ought to be completely alone, as it’s not a place that many people go to and is off the beaten path, but there is always that possibility that someone will come by. Also, we’ll do everything we can to create somewhat private changing areas, but again, it’s not always 100% doable.

Look 1: we’ll aim for a flowy, picnicy, “gentleman pirate on holiday” vibe. Off the shoulder loose fitting flowy shirts or night gowns, flowy sundresses, a loose button up, anything like that! Can be as revealing as you want, can also be as conservative as you want! Look 2: This one’s is all about the comfy undies. The cozy basics. The “this is what I’d wear doing farm chores if I had 500 acres in the middle of nowhere and no one saw me or wandered by.” We’re talking your cozy, practical drawers, that still feel kinda cute and fun. Maybe a bodysuit if that’s what you feel snazzy in! Maybe just an oversized white button up! Maybe a light robe and a comfy pair of boxers! No need to go too fancy, but if you feel super good and cute in something with a little fanciness to it, that works too! Maybe it’s a swimsuit that you could see yourself wearing on a late summer’s evening down by the swimming hole, watching the kids jump off the rope swing, enjoying a lavender lemonade… (uh, sign me up for that last one!) These can be really any color, as long as it’s subdued and somewhat earth tone. White or black works as well, as does nude or skin colored.

Look 3: This is the spicy one! Now, I know I said it earlier, but I just wanna remind you that your spicy level is up to you. There’s no pressure to show off anything you don’t want to, there’s no pressure to be more exposed than you’re comfortable with. Now that being said, this look is all about strategic coverings. I’ll be bringing some draperies at various levels of see through, and you can bring your own as well! But basically we’ll just be half hiding behind sheets, draperies, curtains, whatever! Haha. And depending on your comfortability level, you can re-use either of the previous outfits, wear a new one, or go au natural!

Planning Meetings: I’d like to have everyone attend a Zoom planning meeting, just to go over everything here, and to kinda get to know each other beforehand! Shoots like this require tons of empathy, tons of trust, and tons of comfortability. But everyone I have chosen I have faith that you’ll be amazing and wonderful. The two times I’m gonna have these planning meetings are: Thursday, June 2nd, at 5:30pm, and Friday, June 3rd at 12:00pm. As you fill out the form below, you’ll be able to choose one of those times. Image Release Form: Part of being involved in this shoot is allowing your likeness to be used in print, digital, social media, and anywhere else, at any time. I know that can be a bit daunting, so if that is a bit of a sticking point for you, let me know ASAP. I’ll have physical image release forms for everyone to fill out and sign on the day of the shoot, so no need to worry about signing anything beforehand!
