Badlands and Booties

Hello, my name is Caleb Thomas and I’m a Boudoir Photographer in Bend Oregon. One of my favorite things about my specialty of outdoor boudoir in beautiful locations is that Bend, Oregon has the absolute most gorgeous scenery anywhere in the world. Within 20 minutes of downtown you can see epic mountains, hundred foot waterfalls, lush grasslands, and mind-blowing deserts. The Oregon Badlands are currently my favorite place to shoot, because of their absolutely stunning scenery and the even more stunning sunsets.

When Maddie inquired for a shoot, I knew the Badlands would be the best place to do her shoot! (To read about another shoot in the badlands, click here!)

Boudoir: Not Just Lingerie.

Now you may look at those images above and say “Well, she’s wearing a dress. That’s not Boudoir!” I mean, sure, the classic definition of boudoir photography is in a studio in lingerie or a white sheet, but I believe that you can wear anything and it can still be boudoir. It’s more about the attitude, the swagger, the mood. So for me, boudoir can be anything from the skimpiest of lingerie, to fully clothed! We can shoot in whatever you’re comfortable, confident, and feel sexy in. What’s that one thing that you own that just makes you feel like a goddess? Bring it! I LOVE finding fun creative ways to show off your amazing sense of style, your amazing sense of self, and just your amazing amazingness!

But yeah, Lingerie is Also Amazing.

No one on earth feels more amazing, powerful, or gorgeous than a woman wearing her favorite lingerie. There’s something powerful about being in nature, in your underwear, looking like a queen that just makes you feel alive and amazing! And one great thing about shooting boudoir in the Oregon Badlands Wilderness Area is that it’s never crowded! So regardless if this is your first shoot or your millionth, you don’t have to worry about prying eyes peeping on you, because odds are there aren’t any prying eyes around anyway! Here’s what I promise to you:

1) Our shoot will be 100% a safe space. You are free to be you, whatever the definition of you is. My main job isn’t to take your photo, it’s to make you feel comfortable and confident. I will gas you up and make you feel like a million bucks every step of the way. You are safe and welcome to be yourself.

2) We will get some amazing photos. But yeah, my job is also to get some amazing boudoir photos, and we definitely will do just that! And don’t worry if you don’t know how to pose! I’m here to help there too! In fact, I’ll full on model them for you! In addition to digital files, I offer some truly beautiful print options and always recommend my clients at least get an album! Digital files are great and all, but there’s something powerful in having a tangible, physical reminder of how gorgeous and amazing you are available at the drop of a hat!
